As more litigants identify with the trauma of Legal Abuse Syndrome, they will seek out mental health professionals to help them heal.  Learn how to identify and treat those suffering from LAS.  This correspondence course awards 6 Continuing Education Credits certified by the State of Nevada.  The course includes a full year of training assistance by Karin Huffer through e-mail or by phone.  

Certified Counselor for Peer Counselors who Want to Help Others with Legal Abuse Syndrome 

Study under the guidance of Karin Huffer, MS/MFT, in your own home and time.

This course qualifies you to lead groups, meet with individuals and present information to the media or do speaking on the topic of Legal Abuse Syndrome.

• You will learn the danger signs indicating that a person needs professional assistance.
• You will be able to help participants to share their research and cases.
• You will be allowed to purchase "Overcoming the Devastation of Legal Abuse Syndrome" in quantity for 40% discount.
• You will be able to guide the members of the group through the eight protocols.
• You will receive a certificate indicating that you have completed the course for Certified Peer Counselor.

You will receive your course within one week.  You may work at your own speed.  Karin Huffer or another Certified Peer Counselor will be available to you by e-mail.  You will receive assistance in promotion, public education, press releases, individual cases, and references for further research, Internet links, and general problems as they arise.

At the completion of the course, you are entitled to publish that you hold this certification.

PRIVATE CASE CONSULTATION

 A free consultation is yours by email to examine how our services can benefit you, your emotional health, and your case. The self-scoring assessment will give you an idea whether you are suffering from PTSD/LAS and to what degree your case may be effected.

Email your assessment results and a summary to:legalabuse@gmail.com. If we agree that our services will benefit you, our fee is $1800 for a complete case consultation including a review of your case, structured interview, counseling and other examinations to assess the emotional impact of your case.  

If you are diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, you qualify for accommodations under 42 USC 12101 et seq.. We can then work with your attorneys or help you in your pro se efforts. You will receive the complete written report above plus the necessary investigation, research and requests on your behalf for any reasonable accommodations that you may be entitled to under the Americans with Disabilities Act for an additional $1000.  

Your report is then submitted to the court and becomes a part of your case.  We will provide expert testimony if needed.  Sworn testimony is billed separately at $250 per hour.

Additional advocacy services that may be requested are assessed at $65 per hour.
